About the ESOL class

The school has a community ESOL class that meets in the evenings twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 5:30 - 8:15.

The intended audience for the ESOL class is intermediate level adults. The class is taught by a professional ESOL teacher who is trained in Facilitative Language Teaching.

The cost is $30/quarter, which includes a textbook.

TESOL Students in the Intensive I classes are required to participate in this class in order to see the implementation of the school's philosophy.

Evening TESOL students occasionally participate as well. When the Teaching English Pronunciation course is taught (EPDES 942), the TESOL students work weekly with the ESOL class on strategies for improving pronunciation.

If you know someone who may be interested in participating in the ESOL class, please contact the school at STESLinfo@seattleu.edu or call 206.781.8607.

"It's unbelievable how much the ESOL class synthesizes everything we do in our TESOL class"
~ Jessica, Intensive I Student

What our ESOL students say:
"I like that there are many teachers". "I like that there is no stress". "Everybody is friendly and remembers my name."
